Lovefilm Instant UK lands on LG Smart TVs, shrinks postmen's movie collection

As the streaming TV wars hot up in the UK, Lovefilm is steadily strengthening its arsenal: its Instant streaming service is already available on 175 devices, and now you can add LG's April-2011-onwards Smart TVs to that list. Despite the Korean tellies already having over 250 apps, Lovefilm claims its software is the first for streaming movies and TV; and if that's not good enough for you, it even works with LG's Magic Motion remote à la Harry Potter. UK viewers who might have been tempted by Netflix's streaming-only proposition will now have a harder decision to make, especially now that the Amazon-owned service has a competitively priced (£5 to Netflix's £6) Instant-only package. Got an LG and want to know more? Then scoot on over the break for the full PR.

Murdoch company to pay hacking damages in 36 cases (AP)

LONDON ? Rupert Murdoch's British newspaper company on Thursday agreed to pay damages to 36 high-profile victims of tabloid phone-hacking, including actor Jude Law, soccer player Ashley Cole and former British Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott.

They are among dozens of people who were suing News Group Newspapers after their mobile phone voicemails were allegedly hacked by the now-shuttered News of the World tabloid. Other cases settled include those of former government ministers Chris Bryant and Tessa Jowell, ex-model Abi Titmuss and Sara Payne, mother of a murdered girl.

In all, Murdoch's company was facing 60 hacking lawsuits, though the number of victims is estimated to be in the hundreds. The settlements were made public at a court hearing in London on Thursday, although financial details were not disclosed.

Mark Lewis, a lawyer for many of the phone hacking victims, said in an email that the fight against Murdoch's empire was not over.

"While congratulations are due to those (lawyers) and clients who have settled their cases, it is important that we don't get carried away into thinking that the war is over," Lewis said. "Fewer than 1 percent of the people who were hacked have settled their cases. There are many more cases in the pipeline. ... This is too early to celebrate, we're not even at the end of the beginning."

Actress Sienna Miller had reached an earlier settlement with the company.

Divisional Playoffs - New Orleans Saints v San Francisco 49ersGetty Images

With a contract that will expire in just a few weeks and with no progress made during the 2011 season toward a new one and with a record-setting season in his pocket and with a late-game performance against the 49ers that should have been enough to deliver the first road playoff win in franchise history, quarterback Drew Brees and the Saints continue to be on a collision course for awkwardness and ugliness in 2012.

In a season-ending press conference held Tuesday, coach Sean Payton said what he?s been saying for months:? Brees will be back.

?I think if that question were asked to Mickey [Loomis] or Drew right now, I don?t think there would be any timetable [regarding a new contract],? Payton said in comments distributed by the team.? ?Certainly the sooner the better, and yet I think this time away here initially after the season ended will be good for everyone to kind of remove yourself from the emotion of the season.? I think it will be something that would certainly be on our priority list.?

The Saints have the ability to prevent Brees from becoming a free agent, via the franchise tag.? The Saints can even use the ?exclusive? version of the tag, which would prevent another team from extending an offer to Brees that, if not matched by the Saints, would secure the single-season passing yardage record-holder?s rights in exchange for two first-round picks.

The real question remains whether the two sides will work something out on their own before Brees misses offseason workouts, training camp, and/or the preseason.? Like all franchise-tagged players, Brees can stay away until only days before the start of the regular season and still earn the full amount of the franchise-player salary.

If it comes to that, how will Brees be ready to play as of Week One?

And so the Saints and Brees could be destined for a game of chicken, with the team believing there?s no way he?ll stay away from his teammates and undermine his own preparation for 2012 and Brees believing there?s no way the team will want him to miss out on preparation that will be vital to winning enough regular-season games in 2012 to force the road to the Superdome through, well, the Superdome.

That?s the overriding factor in all of this:? The Saints host the Super Bowl next year.? Thus, owner Tom Benson and company surely will want the Saints to play in that game.

To make that happen, the Saints need to play their playoff games in the Superdome, too.? To ensure home-field advantage in the postseason, Brees needs to be fully prepared for the start of the regular season.

To make that happen, Benson and the Saints need to pay Brees an amounting reflecting his value to the organization.

At the same time, Brees needs to leave enough cash under the cap to help pump up the defense and replace guys like Marques Colston and Robert Meachem, who surely will be pilfered by teams hoping to weaken the Saints, arguably the best team in the league at the end of the regular season.

To make that happen, they need to make Brees happy.? As Payton says, the sooner the better.

Several hundred Occupy protesters rally at Capitol (AP)

WASHINGTON ? Several hundred protesters affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement converged on the West Lawn of the Capitol Tuesday to decry the influence of corporate money in politics and voice myriad other grievances.

Organizers had touted the rally, known as Occupy Congress, as the largest national gathering of Occupy protesters to date and secured a permit that would have allowed up to 10,000 people to participate. By mid-afternoon, the protest appeared to have fallen far short of those goals.

Still, participants said they were optimistic about the strength of the Occupy movement, which began in September when protesters pitched tents in a lower Manhattan park. The movement has since spread to dozens of cities, including Washington. While many cities have moved to evict the protesters, the National Park Service has allowed encampments to remain in two public squares near the White House.

"I'm encouraged," said Jon Wynn, 63, of Snow Camp, N.C., who traveled to Washington to attend the protest and visit friends. "There's energy here, even if there's not a whole lot of people."

The protest comes amid numerous polls that show 84 percent of Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing, near an all-time low.

While the rally was mostly peaceful, there were some scuffles between police and protesters along walkways leading to the Capitol. By mid-afternoon Tuesday, four people had been arrested ? U.S. Capitol Police said ? one for allegedly assaulting a police officer and three accused of crossing a police line.

The Occupy movement includes activists who want to change government from within and anarchists who oppose all government. Tension between the two camps was evident at Tuesday's gathering, where some taunted police while others participated in earnest group discussions about how to influence their elected representatives.

Anne Filson, 71, a retired teacher from Madison, N.H., said she was disappointed by the turnout and said Occupy protesters needed to stick to their core message of narrowing the gap between rich and poor. Protesters did not help the cause by carrying profane signs and antagonizing police, she said.

"What I regret about some of the Occupy movements is the dilution of the message," Filson said. "A lot of Occupy people have to realize that they're being counterproductive."

Later Tuesday, small groups of protesters entered House office buildings in a bid to meet with individual members of Congress. Participants also planned to march to the Supreme Court and the White House.

It was not clear whether the out-of-town protesters would swell the ranks of the two Occupy encampments in Washington. Late Tuesday, a House oversight subcommittee announced that it would hold a hearing next week on why the protesters have been allowed to remain in McPherson Square ? which city officials say is infested with rats ? despite a ban on camping on park service property.

Protesters Rachel Marcotte and Taft Clark, 23, planned to return to their tent at Occupy New Haven in Connecticut, which has been compromised by snow.

"We're told that it's still up, but it's not looking good," Clark said. "We have some work to do when we get back."

India says not seeking Iran oil waiver from U.S. (Reuters)

NEW DELHI (Reuters) ? India is not seeking a waiver from the United States that would protect buyers of Iranian oil from a fresh round of sanctions, and New Delhi continues to import from Tehran, Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai said on Tuesday.

New U.S. sanctions, authorized on December 31, penalize any financial institution dealing with Iran's central bank and could make it more difficult for India to pay Iran for oil imports. An Indian delegation is currently in Tehran for talks.

The U.S. still allows waivers for firms in countries that significantly reduce dealings with Iran or when it is either in the U.S. national interest or necessary for energy market stability.

Japan, South Korea and Turkey have all said they could seek waivers.

But Mathai said New Delhi was not seeking an exemption and implied it did not see the new sanctions as binding.

"We have accepted sanctions which are made by the United Nations. Other sanctions do not apply to individual countries," Ranjan Mathai told reporters.

"We continue to buy oil from Iran."

Asia's third-largest economy is striving to balance the need to keep importing about $12 billion of Iranian crude annually with a preference to avoid upsetting warming ties with Washington.

The United States and its allies in Europe and elsewhere are putting pressure on Iran to curb a nuclear program they say is aimed at developing an atom bomb. Iran says its goal is to produce nuclear power.

Previous sanctions already made it harder for India to import the 350,000-400,000 barrels per day (bpd) it buys from Iran, about 12 percent of its oil needs. In 2010, the central bank scrapped a long-standing clearance mechanism, triggering a scramble by importers to find a new way to pay.

Since last year, Turkey's Halkbank has routed India's payments to Iran, but that conduit is seen by the government as unstable in the face of the latest U.S. sanctions.

Halkbank has already refused to open an account for state-run Bharat Petroleum Corp for oil from Iran.

An Indian official delegation is now in Tehran trying to find a way to continue the oil trade.

"A ... delegation is on its way to work out the mechanism for continued purchase of oil from Iran and to work out the financing mechanism," Mathai said.

Mohsen Qamsari, head of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Co., told the Oil Ministry's website SHANA on Tuesday there was no problem in doing business with India.

"Iran's credit from India has been completely reimbursed, and the money flow issue from this country is proceeding normally with no problem," Qamsari said.

Qamsari also said Iran did not have any unsold oil as there was a good appetite for the Islamic state's oil.

"Right now, there is no oil on the water ... There are many requests for buying Iran's crude, and we don't have extra oil to sell," he said.

CBS Sports to open fantasy platform to developers (AP)

LAS VEGAS ? CBS Sports is opening its fantasy sports platform to third-party developers, allowing them to sell league-specific apps that will likely make this year's games a lot more competitive for millions of players and ? developers hope ? the $800 million per year fantasy sports industry even more lucrative.

The deal was expected to be announced Tuesday at an industry meeting in Las Vegas. It will allow developers to create and sell just about any fantasy sports-related apps they can think of to users of CBSSports.com, one of the world's three largest fantasy sports websites.

Fantasy sports games have become a huge marketing hit for professional sports leagues including the NFL, Major League Baseball and the NBA, because the seasonal games encourage fans to keep track of players throughout each sport and watch multiple games involving teams across the country each day. Roughly 34 million people in the United States and Canada participate in fantasy sports each year, according to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. Many players gamble with friends on leagues made up of imagined teams of real-life athletes, with points scored according to those athletes' individual performances during games.

For players, the deal means tools to help with everything from draft advice to lineup analysis will be available right in the site, customizable for each specific fantasy league.

"It levels the playing field for an entire league to be more competitive," said Jim Lanzone, president of CBS Interactive.

Lanzone said right now, only the most dedicated fantasy players use tools that go beyond the site they use to pick players and keep track of their league. The vast majority of those tools are separate from leagues themselves. "Now, by bringing them all into the game, everyone's going to see them ? everyone's going to have access to them," Lanzone said. "Even that guy who comes in seventh place every year who usually is dead money to your league is going to have access to these incredible tools that can help him do a lot better."

As those playing fantasy sports get more competitive, many turn to software, magazines and other tools for help focus their draft strategy, keep tabs on athletes and obscure statistics and win their leagues.

The move by CBS Sports to embrace those tools is a play to attract users of other top fantasy sites, including free sites run by Yahoo and ESPN. CBS Sports' site is different from the others because most of its players pay fees to use the site to run their leagues.

Lanzone said the open platform will give fantasy sports companies a significant lifeline: Direct access to its millions of players.

The site's platform will open to developers Jan. 31 with six partners and about eight apps available, said Jason Kint, senior vice president and general manager of CBSSports.com. Kint said the site will get 30 percent of all app sales.

Paul Charchian, president of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, said smaller fantasy sports companies will be eager to market to CBS Sports' players because they pay for leagues and are more likely to spend money on the hobby.

"We're on it," said Charchian, the owner of LeagueSafe.com, a site that lets fantasy sports players manage league fees. "As soon as I first heard about it, we've been talking about it internally and plan to take advantage of it."

Charchian said he anticipates other fantasy sites may fully open their platforms in response to CBS Sports

CBS Sports officials said they hope opening the platform will lead developers to innovate in unanticipated ways, much like when Apple introduced its App Store and Facebook opened its platform.

MLB Advanced Media, for example, plans to tie CBS Sports leagues to its subscription MLB.tv service, letting users automatically jump between games to watch at-bats and pitches specifically by players on their roster.

Lanzone said he said he expects the apps to grow along with the entire industry.

"It's still growing leaps and bounds," he said. "I think it's because it's become less niche."

Engadget rides the Board of Awesomeness, results are... awesome (video)

We showed it to you a few days ago, and now we finally got to ride Chaotic Moon's Board of Awesomeness. For those who missed it the first time around, it's an electric skateboard rigged up with a 36 volt battery and an 800 watt motor capable of hurtling you down the road at up to 32mph. It's controlled by a Kinect sensor bar and one of Samsung's Windows 8 developers tablets strapped to the deck. Interestingly enough, Chaotic Moon built the thing with little hackery -- the only hardware mod was made to connect the Kinect's power cord to the battery. You control the throttle by pushing your hand closer or further away from the Kinect, which is made possible using the sensor bar's Beta 2 SDK. A pressure switch is on the deck to kill the motor should you fall off, which is nice since the thing has no brakes -- it stops via the motor's natural drag. Kinect controls were also initially used for steering, but folks found it to be counter-intuitive, so now it turns like any other skateboard.

As you can see from the video above, our skateboarding skills aren't quite on par with Tony Hawk, but that 800 watt motor puts out a ton of torque, so starting it up took some getting used to. The control system is easy and intuitive to use and is like pushing an invisible gas pedal with your hand, though since we were riding it in a parking lot here at CES, we got nowhere near its 32mph top speed. However, we eventually got the hang of riding it at lower speeds, and would love to spend a few days learning how to properly ride it and really see what it can do. The best part? This is only version one of the Board of Awesomeness, and the company plans to create a faster one in the future -- we'll be practicing our riding skills in the meantime to get ready. We hope you enjoyed watching us get awesome, but if you want to see someone who can shred asphalt on the Board of Awesomeness, hit the video after the break.

AcceleGlove teaches you sign language: we go hands-in (video)

While we wouldn't say worthy devices at CES are rare, it's always welcome when we're dodging those middling tablets and iPhones cases scattered across Las Vega's premier tech event. Made by the Institute for Disabilities Research and Training (IDRT) and funded by the National Science Foundation, the AcceleGlove ties into a camera and PC software to act as an input device for American Sign Language. Currently, software extends to learning functionality, with a tutorial input program and more advanced translation software both on show this week. Accelerometers within the glove measuring finger movement, with the camera able to gauge distance and dynamic movement.

We strapped on the AcceleGlove and gave the fundamental program a go, training our hands to spell out the alphabet (with a fair bit of help from inventor Jose Hernandez-Rebollar. It's pretty pacey and certainly detects subtle changes that distinguish letters. The two-way gesture translator can apparently translate over 25,000 english words and phrases into ASL, with the ability to translate gestures into both text and speech.

Future aims for the device include translating commands to PC operating systems, tablets and TVs. More functional applications include integrating hand signal communication into military and medical first response units, when conditions make both visual and audio communication difficult. The current iteration of both the glove and software are available now from IDRT for $300. Hit up the source for more info, or check out our nascent signing skills in our hands-in after the break.

Zach Honig contributed to this report.

(AP) ? Ex-presidential candidate John Edwards has a serious heart condition that will require a medical procedure next month and his illness limits his travel including for an upcoming court case over possible campaign violations, his doctor told a judge, who delayed the trial.

Federal Judge Catherine Eagles did not disclose the exact nature of Edwards' illness Friday or what procedure he needed. However, she said the two-time presidential candidate had "three episodes" and indicated his condition could be life-threatening if left untreated.

A cardiologist for the 58-year-old ex-North Carolina senator wrote two letters about his condition to Eagles, who talked about them during a hearing to consider whether the trial on six felony and misdemeanor counts should begin this month. Eagles said jury selection will now start March 26, at the earliest.

Edwards is taking medication and is scheduled to undergo a procedure in February from which it will take several days to recover, Eagles said. She did not describe what the episodes involved or if the procedure would require unclogging arteries or other common treatments. The doctor's letters and other medical records have been kept under seal by the court.

"The public has an interest in a speedy trial," Eagles said from the bench. "Ordinarily, I would try to manage something like this. But clearly there are some limitations on Mr. Edwards due to real and serious health issues."

His doctor had recommended he not drive or travel, but at the judge's request, Edwards was in court. He didn't appear to have any outward signs of illness, though he was without his usual quick smile or bounce in his step.

The trial has already been delayed twice, including a continuance granted so Edwards could attend his eldest daughter's wedding.

Prosecutors took no position on whether the judge should grant the delay due the defendant's health condition, but said they were ready to try Edwards. He is accused of concealing nearly $1 million in cash and checks from wealthy donors used to help hide his pregnant mistress during his 2008 White House run.

Edwards's legal team and spokespeople have been mum about his condition since his diagnosis last month, declining repeated requests for comment on his condition, including after the hearing.

Known for being telegenic Edwards had customarily entered the federal courthouse through the public entrance, where a group of reporters and cameramen assemble. But on Friday, he took steps to slip through unnoticed. A court security officer indicated he had come and gone through a back door.

Two years ago, Edwards confessed he fathered a baby born to his ex-mistress. He had long denied the girl, Frances Quinn Hunter, was his, even after he admitted cheating on his wife with the child's mother, Rielle Hunter. Hunter had been hired before Edwards' 2008 White House campaign to shoot behind-the-scenes video of him.

Edwards' confession came ahead of the release of a book by former aide Andrew Young. The book described how Edwards worked to hide his paternity with the help of his married aide.

Shortly before the 2008 presidential primaries began, Young stepped forward to claim that he ? not Edwards ? was the child's father. But there were suspicions at the time that the fiercely loyal aide was taking the fall for his boss.

The child was conceived in mid-2007, while Edwards was running for the White House, and around the time he was renewing his vows after 30 years of marriage.

In early 2010, Edwards publicly admitted fathering Hunter's child and friends disclosed that he and his wife, Elizabeth, were separated. She died in December 2010 from incurable breast cancer that was first diagnosed in 2004, a day after the Democratic ticket that included John Edwards as the vice presidential candidate lost to George W. Bush.

The Edwardses were law school sweethearts who married just days after they took the bar exam together in the summer of 1977. They had four children together, including a son who died at age 16. Although the couple had separated, John Edwards was at her side around the clock as her health deteriorated. He did not speak at her funeral.

Edwards made millions as a trial lawyer before beginning his political career with a successful 1998 Senate campaign.

Breeder Committee Meeting Wednesday, January 4th. Archived on TDLR website
if you want to listen:
http://www.license.state.tx.us/bre/bre.htm . RPOA appreciates the committee
members who are donating their time and money to represent "responsible"
Texas animal owners and a pox on all "others!" We report and you decide.

The committee was told that their work on writing "rules" for implementing
HB 1451 was concluded following this meeting - at least for now. Timeline
is rules published in the Texas Register January 20th with a 30 day comment
period. Then it comes back to committee and on to TDLR Commission for final
approval. Committee's work is non-binding to TDLR so anything is possible
yet.

The committee received TDLR's 93 page draft and three working groups'
reports at the meeting so there was no time to study it beforehand.
Director Bill Kuntz said one committee member had commented that everything
was moving too fast but assured them this wasn't their "last bite of the
apple." TDLR's Enforcement Division reported working on criminal conviction
guidelines.

Lot of back and forth over specific wording on temperatures, flooring,
crates, etc. Steve Epperson, representing breeders on the committee (who
can't vote or make motions!) became exasperated and asked "How is a breeder
supposed to know ahead of time what is expected from them?"

"Skip" Trimble, Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) recipient of HSUS
and PETA national awards, was openly using hand signals to committee members
Maggie Dahl (Animal Rescue of Texas) and Sherry Ferguson (Houston Humane
Society; former THLN Board of Directors; now THLN Advisory Board Member and
TX Federation of Animal Care Societies Board Member).

"Hands on" exams were a hot topic for required costly annual veterinary
exams of each dog and cat. TDLR Chairman Frank Denton expressed
reservations. TDLR Counsel Charles Johnson responded to one member's
question that should the veterinarian do his job inappropriately with the
animals' annual examination, the breeder gets the fine. Johnson also said
"TDLR is not changing any statute" as some speakers urged.

Five of eight attendees from the Animal Rights Brigade signed up for Public
Comments. All wanted "stricter" rules than the state statute and insisted
on a Texas Attorney General ruling on the topic:
1. Robert "Skip" Trimble, legislative chair of THLN.
2. Nicole Paquette, HSUS state director for Texas.
3. Cile Holloway, THLN president.
4. Monica Hardy, THLN Executive Director.
5. Elizabeth Choate, Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA), agreed
with all of the above speakers. TVMA was a partner in crime with HSUS and
THLN - writing and lobbying for passage of HB 1451. TVMA opposed the
Anti-Breeding Bill defeated in 2009 but deserted Texas dog and cat breeders
in the 2011 Texas Legislative Session.

Their goal is perfectly clear: Legislate and regulate all animal use,
breeding and ownership out of existence. Question is: Doesn't TVMA know
this? New Hampshire now faces similar legislation - to become the next
notch on the HSUS belt. We'll keep you informed. Please support RPOA
financially on the websites below as we're David fighting Goliath with a
slingshot. Are your animals worth it?

WWE Raw SuperShow results: The fury of Kane's hate

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Kane continued to taunt John Cena on the second WWE Raw SuperShow of 2012 and brutally attacked Cena and United States Champion Zack Ryder. Also, Chris Jericho was once again speechless in front of the WWE Universe and Edge and the legendary Four Horsemen were announced as 2012 WWE Hall of Fame inductees.

Dolph Ziggler and John Cena ended in a double count-out (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Two weeks before facing WWE Champion CM Punk, No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler battled 10-time WWE Champion John Cena in WWE Raw SuperShow's main event. Ziggler used his agility and amateur background to show-off and keep Cena from building momentum early in the contest. However, as Cena built up steam against Ziggler, the TitanTron showed Kane attacking Zack Ryder as the U.S. Champion tried to change his flat tire. As soon as he was free of Ziggler's attempts at a sleeper hold, Cena ran to help his broski. As he exited the arena, the Cenation leader was attacked by The Big Red Monster. The menacing Kane stood over the unconscious Cena and Ryder as Raw SuperShow went off the air.

Divas Champion Beth Phoenix vs. Eve did not happen (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Eve made her way to the ring ready to battle WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, but instead of The Glamazon?s entrance theme playing, the arena went red and Kane?s music played. Eve panicked, unsure of what to do until U.S. Champion Zack Ryder ran to the ring to try and help her escape. They ran to Ryder?s car, which suspiciously had a flat tire.

JerichoChris Jericho addressed the WWE Universe (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Chris Jericho returned to WWE on the first Raw SuperShow of 2012. He gleefully greeted fans who welcomed his return, but Jericho left the arena without saying a word. On the second WWE Raw SuperShow of 2012, the WWE Universe hoped for more from WWE?s first Undisputed Champion. As Jericho made his way to the ring to resounding cheers from the WWE Universe, he was overwhelmed with emotion and left the arena speechless.

Ricardo Rodriguez called out R-Truth allowing Miz to attack (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After two weeks of being attacked by his former tag team partner, The Miz failed to recruit a bodyguard to provide protection from R-Truth. Taking matters into his own hands, Miz forced Ricardo Rodriguez to insult R-Truth in order to call him out in Corpus Christi. Alberto Del Rio's personal ring announcer tried to avoid a confrontation by signing "La Cucaracha." However, slapping the microphone out of R-Truth's hand resulted in the physical confrontation Ricardo hoped to avoid. But before R-Truth could leave the ring, The Miz attacked from the crowd. Even though The Awesome One's intial attack seemed successful, R-Truth turned the tide, forcing Miz to flee back through the crowd.

The Four Horsemen will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2012 (FOUR HORSEMEN'S PROFILE)

CM PunkWWE Champion CM Punk def. Jack Swagger (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In two weeks, CM Punk will defend the WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler with Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis as the Special Guest Referee. On WWE Raw SuperShow, ?The Voice of the Voiceless? faced off against another of Vickie Guerrero?s prize Superstars, Jack Swagger. However, in an effort to show his impartiality toward the WWE Champion at Royal Rumble, the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Mr. Laurinaitis told Punk that if he defeated Swagger, The All-American American and Vickie Guerrero would be banned from ringside at Royal Rumble.

With this extra bit of motivation, the WWE Champion battled the former World Heavyweight Champion with increased vigor. However, Jack Swagger is a formidable competitor and used his amateur background to try and maintain an advantage over ?The Voice of the Voiceless.? However, following a flying elbow drop, the referee made an errant three-count that allowed CM Punk to secure the victory. Regardless of the call, Jack Swagger and Vickie Guerrero are banned from ringside of the WWE Title Match at Royal Rumble.

Brodus Clay def. Curt Hawkins (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After weeks of anticipation, Brodus Clay finally made his WWE Raw SuperShow debut against Curt Hawkins. Flanked by gorgeous dancers, Clay boogied his way to the ring and dominated a confused Hawkins. Following his impressive debut victory, big Brodus Clay literally shook the foundations of the WWE Universe and shuffled his way out Corpus Christi.

Daniel BryanWorld Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan def. Kofi Kingston (Non-Title Match) (PHOTOS | WATCH | WATCH WWE.COM EXCLUSIVE)
Earlier today in a WWE.com Exclusive video, Kofi Kingston questioned the way in which World Champion Daniel Bryan defeated Big Show on SmackDown. In response, Bryan challenged Kofi to a match on Raw SuperShow. When they collided in the ring, the agile competitors battled back and forth, but it was the World Champion who stood victorious after capturing Kingston in the LeBell Lock. As Bryan celebrated like he won the lottery, Big Show wanted to have a word with the champion.

Daniel Bryan offered Big Show another opportunity for the World Title at any time. The World?s Largest Athlete was one step ahead of the champion and revealed that SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long granted Big Show a No Disqualification, No Count-out World Title rematch on SmackDown.

Edge will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2012 (EDGE'S SUPERSTAR PROFILE)?

Santino MarellaSheamus & Santino Marella def. Wade Barrett & Jinder Mahal (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Last week on Raw SuperShow, Santino Marella was decimated by The Barrett Barrage. On SmackDown, Barrett and Jinder Mahal teamed up to attack The Celtic Warrior. Sheamus and Santino joined forces in seeking retribution and proved that a common goal can breed excellent teamwork. After a hard-fought battle, Santino took down Mahal with the Cobra and secured the victory.

John Cena attacked Kane (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Big Red Monster started the second WWE Raw SuperShow of 2012 by taunting John Cena, continuing to push him to embrace hate. It didn?t take long for the Cenation leader to respond as he charged the ring and a brawl erupted all over the arena and backstage. The battle ended in a stalemate with neither Superstar truly getting the best of the other.
