Department for Business Innovation and Skills ? Review of the ...

The Department for Business Innovation and Skills tenders for a review of the evidence concerning putting the clocks forward by one hour, the year round, in the UK. The tenderer will review the current scope, quality and robustness of the available evidence base, both published and otherwise held, concerning the likely effects of moving the clock forward the year round in the UK, effectively moving to central European time. The study should include:

?a consideration of the evidence base;

?identification of any gaps in the existing impact evidence;

?provision of views on the current evidence base?s validity and robustness.

In collating the existing evidence the review will need to look at crime, leisure, tourism, trade, communications, international transport, UK transport, affected business sectors, national geographic variations, energy savings and wider health and wellbeing effects from both a national and international perspective.
