Ed Reed's thigh is sort of tender, but he's not mad about it.?
The Ravens safety joined Baltimore's Glenn Younes radio show Monday in part to discuss last Sunday's AFC Championship win over New England, which meant rehashing the kick he received from Tom Brady.?
The Patriots quarterback made contact with Reed when he stuck up his right leg at the end of a second quarter run. ?
"Leg is feeling alright. A little sore right now," Reed told WJZ-FM. "A little slide kick [from Brady], you know what I'm saying. But it's a tough spot the quarterback's in. You know, I understand Brady's point. Him protecting himself. I know he's a great player. I respect Brady and his game for all it stands for, and I know he's not a dirty player. And emotions get going in the game."
Reed said Brady broached the incident via text. The pair ended up talking on the phone, with Brady making an apology.
"I told him, 'You know, it's good, man.' "
NFL officials are reviewing the kick to determine whether or not Brady should be fined. As far as Reed is concerned, however, the matter is settled.?
"Brady's a great competitor and I love going against him and I know where his heart is at for this game. It was all good."
